Our duplex apartment is situated within a small development of four privately-owned apartments and has wonderful views over Kalkan village and bay. The apartment will comfortably accommodate 4 guests and is available for private rentals during June, July, August and the first half of September only.
Olive Tree Apartment is luxuriously furnished, fully air-conditioned and occupies the ground and first floor of a building that houses two apartments. It has two bedrooms (one double and one twin), open plan living / dining / kitchen area, two shower rooms, three balconies, large shared pool with communal terrace area plus a private terrace area just outside the apartment.
The complex itself is in a tranquil location and is surrounded by lush gardens. Kalkan village is a 15 minute walk away. As a resort, Kalkan appeals to the more discerning tourist so if you’re looking for nightclubs and British-style 'pubs', it's definitely not the resort for you!
The town itself is situated on Turkey's gorgeous Lycian coast and was once a simple fishing village. Today's Kalkan is quietly sophisticated and postcard pretty with a few good quality low-rise hotels, a selection of privately-owned villas and apartments and a multitude of excellent roof-top restaurants offering all manner of culinary delights, together with a good selection of stylish and atmospheric bars.
The village shops stay open until midnight and are well stocked wth interesting antiques, crafts, jewellery, carpets and clothing. The narrow streets of the old town are lined with whitewashed shuttered buildings festooned with brightly coloured bouganvillea. These streets twist down to the picturesque harbour and here you can enjoy a meal whilst watching the world go by and looking at the array of elegant 'gulets' bobbing around before you.
During the day, you can make use of the many 'beach clubs' in the area, visit the local market, engage in some scuba-diving, take a trip to one of the nearby historical sites, drive a jeep up into the mountains, cruise on a gulet or simply relax by the pool.
